Proceed with a visit to the Necropolis of Saqqara, where the Step Pyramid of King Djoser is located. This is a very impressive architectural monument and marks the transition to the pyramid building. You will also see numerous tombs with sharp carvings showing scenes of everyday life. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant to allow you to try traditional Egyptian dishes. Continue to Memphis, the Old Capital of Egypt, where you will visit the gigantic statue of Ramses II and the spectacular Alabaster Sphinx. Back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Following breakfast, you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which displays the largest number of artifacts of Ancient Egypt, which include the great golden artifacts of the Pharaoh-king Tutankhamun. Then, you will visit the Citadel of Saladin and tour the Mohamed Ali Mosque. After lunch, make yourself familiar with Coptic Cairo, as you will see the suspended church building known as the Hanging Church and the church of St. Sergius and St. Bacchus, which is said to have been used as a hiding place for the Holy Family during their sojourn in Egypt. Move to the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which is associated with biblical history. As the day comes to a close, take an evening walk through Khan El Khalili Bazaar to experience the vibrant atmosphere of one of the oldest markets in the Middle East. After a busy day, spend a relaxing evening at the hotel.

Have breakfast in the hotel before you proceed to leave the hotel. You can participate in one of the optional Cairo day tours to take a last look at the city. Then, your private guide will drive you to Cairo International Airport for your flight home.
