5 Days in Cairo and Alexandria

Start your day with breakfast served at the hotel followed by a meeting with your tour guide who will take you on a tour of the Giza pyramids.

Take a full-day trip to the ancient treasures of Egypt in Giza and its nearby areas. Start your journey by visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza; the pyramid complex includes the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. Visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple, also located there, famous for its ancient purification methods. Continue with your Cairo day tours to Memphis, one of the most significant towns in ancient Egypt, before seeing the battered statues of Ramses II. Finally, make your way to Saqqara, home to the overwhelming Djoser’s Step Pyramid, considered to be an early example of monumental architecture.

The first stop of your tour is Pompey’s Pillar, a structure built in honor of the Roman emperor Diocletian in 297 BC. Afterward, go to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the most extensive Roman burial site, known to be in use until the early 20th century. From there, head to Qaitbay Fort, built on the ancient Lighthouse of Pharos, offering great views of the Eastern Port.
