10-Day Classic Tour to Cairo, Luxor and Aswan

Your tour after breakfast will start with visiting the Giza Plateau, where the famous Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus are found.  Also, you should visit the Great Sphinx, a figure associated with the power and intelligence of the Pharaohs, and visit the Valley Temple to learn the details of how mummification took place.

Then you'll proceed to visit Saqqara, where you will find the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the earliest example of a pyramid built on a massive scale using full stone blocks. Visit the pyramid of Teti with its intricate inscriptions inside, and stop by Kagemni's tomb, displaying impressive wall paintings of everyday life in ancient Egypt. The last stop will be at the open-air museum in Memphis, which has on display beautiful things like the statue of Ramses II and the alabaster sphinx.

Begin your day with a tour of the famous Egyptian Museum, including more than 250,000 artifacts that can be found here, not excluding the fabulous collection of King Tutankhamun. Then you shall go to Old Cairo and Also to Salah El Din Citadel. This is where the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali sits, the mosque that is inspired by the Blue Mosque of Istanbul.

You will go on the Coptic Cairo Tour to see the Hanging Church and the Church of St. Sergius, which is supposed to have protected the Holy Family when they escaped to Egypt. We will also go to Ben Ezra Dod, an empty synagogue, which is believed to be the palace from which Pharaoh hid Moses in the river. Enjoy wandering in the exquisite Islamic mosques and the lively Khan El Khalili market.

Enjoy your breakfast and then transfer to Cairo Airport in preparation for your domestic flight to Luxor, also called the most prolific open-air museum in the world. Our representatives will take you then to your Nile cruise, which will be your abode for a couple of days to come. After lunch on board, begin your tour of the East Bank with a visit to the Karnak Temple complex, followed by the outstanding Luxor Temple.

After having breakfast while on board the cruise ship, you will go to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, within which are to be found the buried tombs of the most prominent pharaohs of Egypt, encapsulated within cliffs.

In Deir El-Bahari, there is Hatshepsut’s impressive mortar temple, which you will explore, along with the valley’s enormous statues known as the Colossi of Memnon. Take us into the Edfu area, where a sail along the Nile is offered.

You can have your breakfast, and you will navigate toward Kom Ombo, where you will get off the boat and visit the incomparable twin temples devoted to Sobek and his counterpart Haroeris. Enjoy the scenic views while proceeding towards Aswan.

Start your day with breakfast onboard the cruise, followed by a visit to Aswan’s astonishing High Dam and the historical Unfinished Obelisk. Appreciate the craftsmanship of ancient stone masons and envision what it would have looked like if finished.
