Overview

Fayoum Oasis tour and camp by Best Destination Tours showroom. In the first hour after breakfast meet at Cairo West station with your tour guide and transfer to El Fayoum Oasis (approx 2 hours) drive. Upon arrival at Fayoum, begin your Fayoum things to do like drive through Wadi El Rayan, Qaron Lake, and get ready to sandboard. From there you will do a Wadi al Hitan tour, have lunch, and drive into Wadi Hitan by night equated by the Milky Way galaxy. Enjoy breakfast and wake up refreshed to visit Qasr el Arab, Tunis village, the next day on tour ends back in your car. Touring over and coming back to your place for the day.

Day 1

WADI HITTAN / WADI RAYAN

Pick up from Cairo and transfer by air-conditioned car to El Fayoum Oasis in the Western Desert. Start the desert adventure with a 4x4 Jeep, visit Qaron Lake, and make a desert trip to Wadi Rayan Egypt. For those looking to experience unique Egypt tours, continue to explore Wadi El Hitan, a UNESCO World Heritage site added in 2005. Wadi El Hitan, also known to scientists as the Zeuglodon Valley, was discovered in 1936 and is located 35 km west of Wadi El-Ryan, deep into the western desert. This area of fossils, considered an open museum, dates back 45 million years and contains petrified primitive whale skeletons, shark teeth, shells, and mangrove roots preserved in soft rocks. Everywhere you go here, you find petrified sea shells and corals. Visit the Fossil & Climate Change Museum, which hosts a variety of whale fossils and skeletons displayed outdoors, while the museum exhibits fossils, skeletons, fossilized mangroves, and ancient sea shells indoors in glass boxes. Enjoy your lunch, watch the sunset in the desert, then indulge in a BBQ dinner and stargaze under the Arabian Nights sky, making this one of the most memorable tours from Cairo.
