The Red Pyramid is the third-largest pyramid in Egypt, after the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Pyramid of Khafre. It is named after the reddish hue of its limestone blocks. It was originally cased in smooth, white Tura limestone, but most of this casing has been removed over the centuries.
